Growing up

 Growing Up

A very young mother was taking her one year old for a walk to the park in late summer. The     mother took Steve out of the Stroller to get out some snacks, but as she was looking Steve started to crawl away. Steve crawled through mud. Some homeless couple went to Steve and took him to their box-house. The homeless couple decided to raise the child Steve because they would never have the chance to have their own child to love and take care of. They worked hard to find food and a soft place for Steve to sleep and sang songs also. After a year past they were trying to teach Steve to walk and run and also talk! They were very happy to take care of Steve & they got a couple of cents a day from sitting on the streets in downtown. They spent the little amount of money on cheap foods and cheap clothes from the dollar store. As Steve got to age four many other homeless where trying to steal little amounts of food from them. They deiced that it has gotten to violent for them to live, so they started to walk very far from there to find a nice a safe home and also stopped at some places to sleep along the way. Through all the amazing events that have happened in Steve's life, he always thought that those homeless people were his parents all along. The people who was raising Steve wanted to tell him that they weren’t his parents but that they found him in the park all dirty, when Steve turns 19 they will tell him and not so early because if Steve finds out to early he could run away and get lost or harmed. Every single day they were walking farther and farther to find a nice place to stay or even find a house to share with for free! As they were walking they saw a poster that said “Giving away two free rooms with no cost at all! Address: 4435 Dingiest ave.” As soon as they saw that they walked even farther to find that house address. Three days past and they finally found it. They ran up the door with great excitement and rang the door bell. They waited a couple of minutes and no answer. They deiced to leave and live their old life again because they thought someone has already gotten there before them. But as they went for the stairs the door opened up and a young man opened up and asked “Hey! Are you guys here for the free room?” The homeless couple looked at each other and said yes with big smile. The young man brought them into the house and asked them if they were hungry or if they wanted something to drink. “Sure” Said the couple. A couple minutes later he brought them up stairs and showed them to their room. One room was quite small and the second room was a little bit bigger. The owner of the house fed them food and gave them blankets. The couple and Steve were very happy of where they are living. Six days past and the owner of the house came to them and told them they had to pay $950 now to keep the rooms for 3 more months. The homeless couple looked at each other in shock. They told the man that he didn’t mention that they had to pay $950! “It said clearly on the Ad in small print at the bottom that it’s only free for a week” He added. Steve and the homeless couple started to walk to the door until the man blurted out “Unless! You would do some house work and jobs around here...” The couple took a few minutes to talk about it to each other. All they said was “Its ok, we already have a lot of stress in our life and we will just continue walking out on the streets.” Many years past and Steve is now 16. He always was thinking about getting to visit other countries before he dies from health problems or if he starves. Finally one day Steve got tired of waiting so he announced “I’m getting a Job!” “But why?” Asked the homeless couple. “I’ve always wanted to visit another country!” A couple weeks later from searching the news paper for a cheap cashier job finally paid off. He now works in a dollar store as a helper. He gets about $5.00 a month. Steve now is 19 and the homeless couple was 89 and was very scared to tell Steve about the news. Right when the couple was just about to announce the news to Steve, he just blurted out “I GOT ENOUGH MONEY TO GO TO THE PHILIPPINES!” The homeless couple both had a smile on their face. They deiced to tell him at the airport. They took a bus and when they arrived they were just about to tell Steve until a random woman walked up to Steve and said “Um, S-Steve Jod?” I said in a soft voice “How’d you know my name?” The Woman said “I’m Bethany Jod. You’re Mother.” I said in a clear voice “That’s impossible, you’re just trying to kidnap me and you have no proof.” The woman had a smile on her face and said “Pull up your sleeve and you will see my name in small letters. I put it there a month after you were born.” Steve looked very surprised “Wow! You really are my mother, but then who are you?” *Pointing at homeless couple* “We were going to tell you that we are not your real parents but that we found you in a park all mudding and I thought that your parents just let you go so we deiced to raise you or we would never get to raise a child in our life.” “Mom can we bring them home with us?” Asked Steve. “Sure because without them you would be dead by now!” A week later we have found horrible news. The homeless couple had passed away. We went to their funeral and watched them get buried. I continued to live my normal life until the next week I found a note on my fridge saying “I had many fun times with you Steve and hope that you will live long and prosper – The people who raised you”
The End.
