Manning Park

Last winter my class went to
Manning with the teachers for a 4-day field trip. At first we went on a bus
ride to Manning. I started to document the trip on the way to Manning Park
after 2-hours on the bus, because its starting to get boring and I wanted to
watch something later. The whole trip to Manning Park is about 3-hours.
The name of the cabin we were
staying is the “The Last Resort” There are four floors. I stayed on the 4th
floor.
When we got to Manning Park at
noon half of the class went cross-country skiing and the other half went
snowshoeing and snow shelter building. I went with the cross-country group
first, and cross-country is like the moonwalk but forward and on a field of
snow. Snow shelter building is hard work but fun and it goes something like
this:
First you make a dome of hard
pack of snow, and then you start to dig a trench around the dome at the same
time make the dome longer and wider. Next make a small wedge at the entrance of
the fort, then hollow out the inside of the dome to make the inside of the
shelter and put all of the waste snow to make the dome bigger.
We only got to the part where we have a big dome of hard
packed snow. That night diner and then we played Big2 and 99 the card game for
about an hour and I very enjoyed it.
Next morning after breakfast at
9:00 o’clock we packed a lunch went cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snow
shelter building again. This time I went snow shelter building first and we
finished it with a wall and a yard. Cross-country skiing was now on a trail for
snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, the 1st loop was easy and more
down hill, the 2nd loop was harder and more up hill at lunch
wiskiejacks keep taking everyone’s lunches while we ate.
In the evening dinner afterwards
we called home and in-door swimming to bad I forgot my swimming gear I would
have really liked it. At night I locked the girls in the hall room while they
had a party because while they party its generally they are very annoying, and
then I realized the rooms are built on each other and sounds easily travel from
room to room, so I made very scary noises around the room and jumped on the
floor which is on top of the girl’s room, making them scream about a ghost
named jardon, later I unlocked the door and ran to my room then slept with the
feeling of revenge.
Next morning breakfast then at
10 o’clock we went down hill skiing the runs and hills were very steep and icy.
Later before dinner we hiked up the mountain to the snow shelters and lit our
candle stoves and (had a snow ball fight with ice traps.) had a good time (I
also made a automated fire extinguishing icicle) we looked at the stars.
Afterwards we went back to The Last Resort and dinner then some thing so weird
happened, Victer went to the wash room and rubbed some stuff in my hair then I
grabbed a bed post and attacked Victer with it, then he ran in a room I used
the bed post as a batting ram to open the door, with the ram I smacked Victer
up side the head went back to my room and slept.
Next day morning and breakfast,
all day cross-country skiing and then home.
I really enjoyed my stay at Manning Park I hope I can
go again.

Pink is color that makes people relax.
Blue is color that shows beautiful sky.
Green is nature so that everybody wishes for green Earth.
White is snow so kids wish for white on top of house and everywhere.
Green is mint chocolate ice cream, mountain and nice warm tea that make you warm.
White is nothing and everything because you can put everything on the white. And it’s also everything because some people said white is all color.
Red is red, orange, and yellow hot fire. When you touch it I’m pretty sure you’re going to say “Ah ouchhhhh”

Black is darkness, dangerous, and color of the special.

The Test Subjects
In a lab far away from anyone, there was a giant explosion that burst the wall to rubble and out came four kids. They were being followed be heavily armed troops “TROOPS AIM AND FIRE!!!!” screamed the Commander. “Grace! I hope you have your shield up and ready!” yelled Mike “I’m all over it!” Grace yelled back. A small sphere was forming in her palms and it quickly became big enough to fit all of the kids. “There’s the cliff! Thomas get Steve up there for a clear shot! ” yelled Grace. “Alright! Steve ready for the ride of your life?” said Thomas. “Just get this over with!” said Steve. In no time Thomas was up in sky and carrying Steve while he was shooting lasers from his hands and bring troops down to the ground while blood was slowly spreading all over the ground. “it’s time to have some fun”said Mike has he slowly became invisible and troops started falling to the ground while the other troops became highly confused and then falling to the ground like the others. Grace was using her shield to knock the other troops down the cliff. “Thomas! Get down here ” yelled Grace. “I’m coming with Steve!” said Thomas. “We have to go now! Or else they will get even more powerful troops!” yelled Mike. They ran and ran till they couldn’t see the lab anymore. Weeks have passed after the fight. They realized that they didn’t need food if there was sunlight because they can use photosynthesis. One day Grace said “We need to go back and destroy the lab and the search parties looking for us.” “I agree.” said Thomas. “Me too” said Steve. “Well then let the fun begin.” said Mike. So went to the lab and they sneaked into the lab,once they were inside the generator room they started to disable the generator causing all systems in the lab to go down. “You two go to the generator room and check out what is wrong with the generator.” said the General. “SIR YES SIR!” yelled the privates. As they walked to the generator room they got tied up by the kids. They slowly made their way to the command center knocking out everyone in their path. They finally reached the command center and the general was expecting them. “Well well you finally come and you just fall into my trap, oh how easy.” said the General “So you want to fight?” asked Mike “Don’t even try that I have machines in here that stop you from using your powers and don’t even try to use your karate because well look at your feet.” answer the General. There were metal clamps that have clamp on their feet while they were talking. Fifty armed troops came out of the door and surrounded the kids. Then trapdoors under their feet opened and they when down a tube. They dropped into liquid nitrogen freezing tanks, the General came from a trapdoor, he quickly pressed the freeze button for all the tanks before they could do anything. “YOU ARE ONLY TEST SUBJECTS YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME MMMUUUHHHAAAHHHHAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

The General has started to take her powers away and her life force as well so she was slowly leaving the world and then she dropped to the floor. They dropped into liquid nitrogen freezing tanks, the General came from a trapdoor. “What did you do to her!?!?!?!?”screamed Mike. “I killed her and took her powers.” said the General. Then he pressed the freeze button for all the tanks before they could do anything. “YOU ARE ONLY TEST SUBJECTS YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME MMMUUUHHHAAAHHHHAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
