A candle that can't move from its spot and slowly die and disappear.
A flag pole that's hard and study but the flag soft and floppy .
A piece of butter soft and yellow on a hot day the butter will melt onto the ground .
A homeless person on the streets no where to go.
Your metaphors have caused me to look at flowers differently. There is something lonely about your flowers. A nice change from the way flowers are usually portrayed.
