ReplyDeleteA really nice piece Katrina! The first line is quite powerful, and is appropriately grand for a country as large and imposing as ours!
ReplyDeleteIf you read the comments I made on Lauren and Nikolette's pieces, you will find some ideas that are applicable here as well, particularly the idea of thoughts and feelings. While you do a very good job of providing personal glimpses, and interesting revelations, it would be more powerful if you were to include your own thoughts and reflections about the things that you've included. If you decide to do a revision of this piece, I would encourage you to focus on this.
