One amazingly bright day my brother, dad and I went out for a walk in our neighbourhood Collage Park, Port Moody, when all of a sudden I saw this strange orange dot in the distance. I started to wonder what the orange dot could be. As we got closer I saw an orange tabby cat. I started to walk closer to this eerie cat. Wondering if I should pet it or not. I made the choice to pet this eerie cat. So I started to pet it then it stared at me in silence. My hands started to sweat so I started to walk away. The cat followed. So I stopped walking away hoping that the cat would stop following us. But no, the cat was still following us. Like your shadow following you at sunset. I started to get frightened. About half-an-hour later the cat was STILL following us! We were at home we had to rush into the house and shut the door immediately. After we shut the door the cat was pawing the door I felt like a racoon was trying to get into our house. A week later we went out for another walk. She followed us again! A month later we started to get to know her so we called her Jeanie. Every walk we went on Jeanie was there. Her fur was so soft and she was so nice and gentle. But a year later we had to move from Port Moody to Burnaby. I was so sad; Jeanie and I were like best friends. I never got to see Jeanie again, and that's just too bad…

ReplyDeletesuch cool story!! i once got followed by a dog. it was the day we had to move from tx. to bc.
ReplyDeleteIts a special thing to be chosen by an animal isn't it? I wonder what Jeannie thought when she first saw you, how she knew that you were the kind of person who would treat her kindly? Some say that animals are particularly sensitive and can pick up on these kinds of things. I, for one, wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more of your stories Lauren!
Aurelle I met Jeanie in 2003.
ReplyDeleteNice story! My grandparents (in israel) were choosing a doggy (pooddle). So , the doggy just came and sat on my grandpas lap! When we were taking her back to my grandparents house she sat on my lap! Now she is not a puppy anymore and she loves me i love her back .Last year when i came to their apartment sonya (the doggy) jumped on me and didn't let me go for a long time! I wish she'll behave the same way this year! Didn't you say you have an alergy to cat's?
