Stitches

On the night before Valentines Day, I was running across the house trying to escape from Nerf dart tag bullets. Running to my room as fast as I could and ducking as well, I looked up and the doorknob was right below my eye I could feel the skin spreading a part right below my right eye. I hit the floor but luckily not to hard, I started to cry I could barley breathe but only for a couple seconds. I got up and ran to my bed it hurt so much. My brother realised I was hurt. He asked me if I was o.k. I did not answer. Then my dad came in I told him the story. My mom was in the shower when this all happened. When she came out she was shocked I told her what happened. We hoped into the car and went to the hospital, we were waiting in line for so long…the time passed I don't know how long we were waiting but all I know is that it took so long, I was sitting in the chairs with nothing to do I wonder why it took so long there was not very much people. Finally the said are name I was so glad it was are turn, we went into the room. They were holding a needle I was so freaked out. First they placed the freeze. In I could feel them putting it in it barley hurt then they started to place the stitches in I couldn't’t feel a thing. The good thing is I only got 2 stitches. But i have to admit it wasn't really as bad as i thought it would! Now i know not to run in the house! The end!!!

  1. Some lessons we learn the hard way don't we?! I have a similar scar from a similar story!

There are some great ideas in this piece Aurelle! I would really like to see you expand the section that describes that actual getting of the stitches. I think many readers would be engaged by a vivid description of that scene, especially when told form the perspective of someone going through it for the first time. It could be goose-bump inducing!

inducing: To bring about or stimulate the occurrence of; cause :)
