I am from

I am from the summer life it’s always hot, sunny.
I am from the soft grass when it grows.
I am from the schools and classes.
I am from México where life starts and super duper hot.
I am from the parks where we play games and other stuff.
I am from paper that I waste a lot.
I am from pools that are nice and cold
I am from spring life too.
I am from spring because it is my b-day!
I am from special churches and nice restaurants.
I am related to my cousin sister Michelle Charaff.
I am from México lot it.
I am from my mom and dad hearts
I am from my dad’s side because he gets mad like I do to
I am from my best abuela and abulo
I am from
I am from the hot sunshine.
I am from life time
I am from my stuffy Winnie the pooh bear the I eat.
I am from my moms and dads little Dora or pumpkin head

I am from my moms and dads love
I am from dog love kisses

Nicole Alva’s poem.

  2. Great work Nicole!

I really like some of the details you've included here. I feel like I understand you better after reading this piece!

In your next piece, focus on the idea of "Show Don't Tell". The idea here is that instead of telling us that the church is special, or that the restaurants are nice, you would show us. Describe the details that make the church special and that make the restaurant nice. Close you eyes and imagine those places. Once you have them in your mind, what do you See? Hear? Smell? The more details like this that you can give your readers, the more your readers will feel like these are real places.

    Keep writing!
